LAST YEAR'S AWARDS The 2009 Eastbourne Business Awards was held on Friday 6th November at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne. Guests were entertained by the 'extraordinary showman' Dean Nicholas, one of the country's leading close-up sleight of hand magicians. The compere for the event was television presenter, Fred Dineage. There were twelve awards categories including two new categories - the Lifetime Achievement Award for an individual whose effort and determination over time has made an exceptional contribution to a business and the wider business community resulting in a positive gain for both. The other new award was the Young Entrepreneur of the Year for an exceptional individual aged under 30 who has set-up or developed a new business, product or service.
