WELCOME

After the success of last year the Eastbourne Herald is proud to announce details if this year's Eastbourne Business Awards 2009!

The awards are an opportunity to celebrate local business achievement and excellence. The Awards will be held on Friday 6th November at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne.

The event will be a chance for your business to receive the recognition it deserves and to acknowledge the efforts of your employees and colleagues.

It is also a time to relax and enjoy an excellent lunch and to be entertained by the 'extraordinary showman' Dean Nicholas, one of the country's leading close-up sleight of hand magicians. Our compere for the evening will be the television presenter, Fred Dineage.

There are twelve awards categories to enter. This year we have added two new categories - the Lifetime Achievement Award for an individual whose effort and determination over time has made an exceptional contribution to a business and the wider business community resulting in a positive gain for both. The other award is Young Entrepreneur of the Year for an exceptional individual aged under 30 who has set-up or developed a new business, product or service.

To enter the awards, decide which category you would like to enter for. Fill in the entry form - compile your entry proposal - this can be in any form of your choosing and may include photographs, testimonials, branding products, videos, slide shows or any other evidence of suitability for the award.

Remember, you may enter for more than one award category if you wish. Entries can be made by post or by email, or delivered in person to the EBA Organiser, Eastbourne Herald,
Beckett House, 1 Commercial Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 3XQ. For more information please contact the events organiser (see below).

ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 25th September 2009

We would like to thank main sponsor CMS and all the category sponsors whose continued generous support has made the staging of this year's event possible.

Now all we need are your entries. The judges will be looking for a business, or an aspect of a business, that stands out from the crowd. So tell them how your company has made a difference in the last 12 months and why you are a valued business in Eastbourne. We look forward to receiving your entries. Good luck and we hope to see you at the Eastbourne Business Awards 2009!
