WELCOME The Eastbourne Business Awards was held on Friday 6th November at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne. The event was a chance for local businesses to receive the recognition they deserve and to acknowledge the efforts of employees. It was also a time to relax and enjoy an excellent lunch and to be entertained by the 'extraordinary showman' Dean Nicholas, one of the country's leading close-up sleight of hand magicians. Our compere for the event was the television presenter, Fred Dineage. There were twelve awards categories. This year there were two new categories - the Lifetime Achievement Award for an individual whose effort and determination over time has made an exceptional contribution to a business and the wider business community resulting in a positive gain for both. The other award was the Young Entrepreneur of the Year for an exceptional individual aged under 30 who has set-up or developed a new business, product or service.
